The Foundation was pleased to support Zeenat, a CareTech senior support worker, with a match fund towards Islamic Help.
Here’s Zeenat’s story:
“I have always wanted to help people who are suffering in war torn countries. I was given the opportunity to attend a fundraising event in Luton in November last year with the Islamic Help organisation.
My aim was to raise money to support them throughout the wintertime.
I pledged to raise over £500 to support people in need. It was then that I heard that the CareTech Foundation support CareTech plc staff with their fundraising for charity. I was very excited and contacted the CareTech Foundation about their match funding grants.
They were very helpful to me all the way through the whole process. I organised a fund raising dinner at my home and invited my relatives, friends and neighbours to contribute and support me towards raising funds for Islamic Help.
On that evening I managed to raise £211 for the Charity. I was really delighted to raise that amount; also knowing that the CareTech Foundation would fully support me to match the fundraising raised.
I then contacted the CareTech Foundation who without any hesitation agreed to help me by matching the amount that I raised.
Without the CareTech Foundation, I would not have been able to make a difference to those people who are in desperate need. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the CareTech Foundation for all the support and care in making the fund raising a success. I would also like to thank Clair for all her support and advice given to me to make it a success. I’m thanking you all again for everything from the bottom of my heart, and I’m looking forward to carrying on with it in the future by helping other charitable organisations.”
