We are delighted to support a number of local, grassroots sports clubs across the UK. Following the application for a Community Grant from CareTech plc employees, a number of sports clubs are much better off thanks to our support.
The Earlsheaton Starlites Majorette Team, a local dance troupe in West Yorkshire received £1000 to bolster their fundraising events. The grant has helped to cover operating costs and purchase new team kit. It has also allowed the club to remain at no-cost ensuring they are accessible to lower income families in the area.
Brickfield Rangers U 14’s FC in Wrexham, North Wales received a £650 Community Grant to support their recent fundraising difficulties, for new kit and equipment. The grant has enabled the Club to purchase new kit and sports equipment, as well as new rain jackets for their team of 18 players and five coaches.
Moordown and Southboure FC also benefitted from a £400 Community Grant, which we awarded, to fund nine football kits for their mini team of under 7/8’s after a previous funder pulled their local support of the Club.
Donnington Boxing Club received a boost to their fundraising programme with a £500 Community Grant. The grant is significant in helping the Club reach its £10,000 fundraising target to purchase a new minibus, which will be used for transporting children to and from competitions.
To keep Rhuddlan Town Football Club playing, we awarded a Community Grant of £1300 to replace a water heater. The replacement heater not only makes sure they can access hot running water but means they are now FA compliant. The grant has also guaranteed the facilities can be used by the wider community for community events held throughout the year.
If you are involved with a local sports team or event why not apply for a Community Grant.
