Hamza Sheikh

Hamza is Digital Investments Director at CareTech, where he leads on the Group’s Digital Strategy. The strategy reflects the ambition of CareTech in becoming a major player in the Digital Specialist Social Care Market. By 2030, through its digital solutions, the company aims to improve the quality of live and life chances for a 1,000,000 children, young people and adults globally who are experiencing disabilities and complex needs.

Hamza has supported extensively in the recent investment of Smartbox, a global player within the AAC market, and continues to works closely with the CareTech Executive team in executing their business objectives and growth plans. Alongside this, Hamza is responsible in the mapping out of the world’s first end-to-end Digital Care Pathway for individuals with developmental and behavioural conditions through a build, buy and partner approach.

Prior to joining CareTech in 2017, Hamza worked at Fajr Capital, a leading private equity investor in the Middle East, where he helped manage a portfolio of companies across a range of sectors including oil and gas, retail and education.

Hamza holds a BSc in Management Sciences from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also a member of the Ernst and Young NextGen Academy, and has attended programmes at institutes such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and Stanford University.

Hamza is an Associate Director at the COSARAF Charitable Foundation and has a particular interest in causes that tackle social exclusion and mental health.
