The Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of John Ivers and Mick Pratt as Trustees for the Foundation.
In his role as Chief Operating Officer at CareTech Holdings plc, John Ivers leads the Adults, Children’s, Specialist and Learning Services Divisions which have had a period of sustained and substantial growth with a focus on building and developing strong teams, excellent service delivery and quality. He has also successfully managed and led the pre- and post-integration of all recent acquisitions.
Commenting on his appointment, John said:
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the CareTech Foundation as a trustee. I am proud to be involved with its ambitious and exciting work programmes to support a range of initiatives. It’s marvellous to be able to give something back to a sector that inspires me each and every day through the wonderful people who go above and beyond to care for others.”
Mick Pratt joined CareTech Community Services in 2009 as a Training Facilitator and covered all of the adult localities. Predominately now working in the Yorkshire region, Mick supports the services with a range of training from basic Induction to specialist Positive Behaviour Support. Mick was the Overall National winner of the 2018 CareTech Care Awards after winning the regional award for Best Educator/Therapist.

“I am looking forward to being part of the Foundation and to work towards making significant and real changes to people’s lives in both the local communities and further afield.”
