The CareTech Foundation was delighted to once again be a Headline Supporter for the second annual Care Sector Fundraising Ball held on Saturday 28th September. The special event raised £200,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society and The Care Workers Charity.
The Care Sector Ball is the first event to celebrate the important contribution which care workers make to society, and to raise vital funds for charities which support their work. The CareTech Foundation joined CareTech plc and Hallmark Care Homes as Headline Supporters for the event for the second year running.
Jonathan Freeman, CEO of the CareTech Foundation said:
“We at the CareTech Foundation were delighted to be able to support the Care Sector Fundraising Ball. Our charity is committed to delivering meaningful impact to communities in the UK and overseas by supporting and championing the social care sector, care workers and those living in care.
“As individuals and as a society, we entrust some of the most vulnerable individuals to the thousands of care workers up and down the country coping with sometimes unimaginable difficulties and challenges. Just as we, rightly, celebrate and cherish staff working in the uniformed services and the health service, we must now put care workers on the same level. Being a care worker is not a job, it really is a vocation. One that demands professionalism, skill and dedication equal to any other role.
“The Care Sector Ball is a very powerful way by which we can all contribute to this vision and a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the vital contribution care workers make to society.”
