PARTNERSHIP GRANTS

Motivation Charitable Trust

Person-centred Care in Kenya.

Following the successful delivery of the firsttwo-year partnership which saw 679 people receive bespoke fitted wheelchairs, the training of 364 people and the introduction of a wheelchair repair facility, the Foundation has agreed a three-year extension to the programme. The second phase will focus on 700 more wheelchairs being provided to users, 1,100 people receiving new skills and 436 people receiving increased employability skills. The programme aims to embed practices from the previous programme, expanding its scope and encouraging greater sustainability through local support. A key element of this is the support of local government, which played a critical role in building momentum for this extension to be possible.
