The UK Social Care Sector

Outcomes:

Improved recruitment pathways to the UK social care sector:

  • 3 Partnerships creating enhanced recruitment pathways into the sector
  • 432 potential and current professionals, or care experienced young people, supported
  • 218 people with disabilities or long-term health conditions supported.
  • 124 Care workers achieving new qualifications through these programmes, and 45 achieving employment.
  • 98 people supported report increased confidence or self-belief

 

Recognition of the positive role of the UK social care sector:

  • 1 Partnership dedicated to personalised improving recognition in the UK care sector – Championing Social Care
  • 33% of care homes registered to take part in Care Home Open Week in June 2025. and c. 2 million people took part in an Open Week event.
  • The sixth annual Fundraising Ball took the total raised to charity to £1.7 million since its inception. The CareTech Foundation played a lead role in selecting and supporting the small charity beneficiary for 2025 – Care Rights UK.

 

 

Skills, expertise and funding leveraged:

  • Over £1.02 million of additional funding was leveraged by our Partners this year
  • Over 60 CareTech staff were engaged across our Partners’ programmes
