Impact Report 2023/2024

Produced by Bean Research

Foreword and Executive Summary
It has been a year of change at the CareTech Foundation with our CEO since inception, Jonathan, moving on and trustees promoting me internally to take us forward. Through this busy period our focus has always remained on delivering support to the UK Care Sector and both carers and those living in care, both in the UK and overseas, and we are proud to report the impact we’ve made in 2023/24 in this report.

As the CareTech Foundation continues to evolve as a funder, we are pleased to start seeing the results of the capacity, capability and innovation programmes we are supporting, as well as still supporting people directly affected by a range of issues. Since 2017, CareTech Foundation has supported over 1.9 million people. Our funding has trained nearly 5,000 people, and equipped around 1,500 people with improved employment skills. This year alone the Foundation has supported 70 charities and supported over 40,000 people. We have launched four new, high-impact partnerships and continued to support a range of partners achieve their goals for our sector and its people.

In 2023 we reflected on the Foundation’s purpose and direction, and with the support of Bean Research, developed a new impact framework that reflects the success factors against which we will measure the Foundation’s impact. This report shows our progress against these success factors, and we are extremely proud of the difference we are helping to make to the people we set out to help.
