The Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Murton Mann to the Advisory Council.
Murton has been involved with the Special Olympics since 1999 firstly coaching Olympic Ireland skiers and then on his return to the UK becoming involved with Special Olympics Great Britain before joining the Board and then becoming Chair of the Board.
“Special Olympics is an amazing organisation that does so much to transform the lives of people with Intellectual Disabilities through sport but it is through collaboration that more can be achieved”.
With the start of the Special Olympics this week, this is an exciting relationship for the CareTech Foundation.
Commenting on the appointment, Foundation CEO Jonathan Freeman said:
“I am delighted that we will be able to count upon Murton’s expertise, especially in the field of supporting those with learning difficulties. The joyous celebration of the Special Olympics, which starts this week, is a wonderful example of celebrating the enormous talents of those with learning and behavioural needs from which we can learn so much.”
