We are delighted to share that, in association with Care Talk, the Foundation is the lead sponsor of the Social Care COVID Heroes reception event at the House of Lords.
This VIP afternoon tea event will be hosted by Lord Palmer of Childs Hill OBE and is supported by the Foundation and takes place on 8th December 2021 at the House of Lords. Guests will include social care leaders as well as inspirational frontline staff and their employers, all of whom are Great British Care Awards Social Care COVID Hero finalists.
The reception will present a unique opportunity to recognise and meet these inspirational frontline care and support workers who have gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating incredible acts of bravery and resilience.
Our CEO, Jonathan Freeman MBE, had this to say:
“As the leading corporate foundation in the social care sector, we at the Foundation recognise that we have a weighty moral duty to do everything in our power to support the millions of individuals working in and supported by the social care sector during the pandemic.
“Care workers were thrust into the heart of this crisis – and they have responded brilliantly. This reception is a fitting occasion to pay tribute to the shining example of those who have stepped up to the plate so magnificently during the pandemic. And for us all to say thank you to each and every one of the 1.6 million care workers caring for our loved ones up and down the country.”
